It is our great pleasure to invite you to the upcoming international symposium, "Unlocking the Epigenome: New Horizons in Molecular Medicine and Rare Diseases," which will take place on October 20–21 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event is hosted by the Roumen Tsanev Institute of Molecular Biology.
 
As we enter the era of precision medicine, understanding the epigenetic landscape is becoming essential for unraveling the complexities of rare genetic disorders. This symposium provides a dynamic platform for the exchange of knowledge at the intersection of epigenetics, molecular medicine, and rare disease research.
The event aims to bring together leading scientists, clinicians, and biotechnology innovators from around the world. Participants will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge discoveries, emerging technologies, and novel therapeutic approaches.

  Abstract Submission Guidelines

• Language: All abstracts must be submitted in English
• Word limit: Maximum 300 words (excluding title and authors)
• Format:
  • Title (bold, sentence case)
  • Author(s) (presenting author underlined)
  • Affiliation(s)
  • Structured abstract: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
• Keywords: 3–5 keywords required
• Deadline: 31 August 2026

All submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified whether their abstract is accepted for oral or poster presentation by 12 of September 2026. Oral Presentation Guidelines

• Duration: 10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes discussion
• Format: PowerPoint 
• Language: English

Poster Presentation Guidelines

• Poster size: A0 (841 × 1189 mm), portrait orientation
• Content structure:
  • Title and authors

  • Methods
  • Results (visual emphasis recommended)
  • Conclusions
• Presentation: Authors must be present during the poster session for discussion
• Language: English
